"If you are distressed by anything external, the pain is not due to the thing itself, but to your estimate of it; and this you have the power to revoke at any moment."
2020 was quite a year, wasn't it? Like so many others, the massage industry came to standstill here in NYC last March when the shutdowns began due to Covid-19. However, the industry also rallied to prepare and plan for when re-opening was possible again. I began working once more in July, when restrictions in NYC were lifted.
Initially I only did house calls at first, easing back in and getting acclimated to the new safety regulations and required PPE. In October, I did begin seeing clients again once a week at my rental space in the city. Unfortunately, this was not sustainable, and so in 2021 I have returned full-time to a home-based practice. I take care to follow all safety protocols to ensure a safe and stress-free experience for my clients.
All existing clients will be asked a seres of Covid-related questions and given my short list of requirements to book a session. All new clients will also be asked to fill out a health intake form.
I am following all the latest news and developments with the CDC, NYS and NYC guidelines and regulations, and recommendations within the massage industry. It remains a very uncertain time for us all, but I will continue to provide professional massage services for as long as I am able!
